Francis Pineda previously worked as a Community Legal Worker to support injured workers with navigating the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board.
He is passionate about workers’ health and safety and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Disability Studies at TMU. While studying at TMU, he got involved with the part-time students’ union and advocated for students across the province. Through the students’ union, he pushed for accessible education for all, more services for part-time students, and created a coalition of workers and students on campus.
Francis believes in the strength of a students’ union and will continue fighting for equity.
