How We Operate

Any TMU student facing any level of food insecurity (the inability to obtain food that meets your dietary needs) is able to use our services, but you must register with us as a member first.

To register as a member, you will need to attend an intake appointment, which you can book here: GFC Intake Appointments. Or you can come by our space in person to schedule one.

Once you’re a member, you get a certain amount of “points” that you can spend each week on our food and supplies. Please note that the first day we open of the week is always super busy, and we can only fit so many people in the space at a time.

Local Food Banks & Food Security Organizations

The Good Food Centre is a proud partner organization of the Daily Bread Food Bank. A large portion of the food we are able to give to students is received from the Daily Bread Food Bank as part of their Member Agency program.

Local Food Banks

If you are looking for other food banks in our area, check out this list curated by our GFC staff: Local Food Banks

Local Food Security and Advocacy Organizations

There are many organizations in the GTA that work to abolish food insecurity, and increase access to high quality food. You can see the list of organizations we’ve put together here: Food Advocacy Organizations
