Victoria Alcantara (Team Forward)

Hi, I’m Victoria Alcantara, a Floor President in Pitman Hall and a player on the TMU Volleyball team, and I’m running to be your VP Student Life.
I spend a lot of time around campus – in residence, at practice, in class and I keep hearing the same things from students: it’s hard to find out what’s going on, things feel expensive, and sometimes campus feels more like a place you pass through than a place you actually belong.
That’s what I want to change.
As VP Student Life, my goals are simple:
Make it easier to get involved clearer info about events and clubs, and more chances to try things without needing a big friend group already.
Push for more free and low-cost events, so money isn’t the reason someone stays home.
Support mental health and real community, with chill spaces to hang out, de-stress events, and programming that actually reflects who’s on our campus commuters, res students, international students, 2SLGBTQ+ students, athletes, and everyone in between.

I’m running because I genuinely like talking to people, solving problems, and building community.
Let’s build a campus where we don’t just attend TMU we belong here.
