Staff Biographies

Sally Lee (Interim Co-Executive Director) is a dynamic, civically-minded non-profit sector leader and community builder skilled at locating points of strategic alignment to bring people together to advance a cause. She has been the Executive Director of the Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BPOC Creators since 2021, working closely with a cross-country board to establish a $20-million fund for Black and racialized filmmakers.  Sally has more than three decades of experience in the arts and culture sector, with previous leadership positions including serving as the Executive Director of the Reel Asian International Film Festival and of the artists’ rights organization CARFAC Ontario. Prior senior management roles include positions at the Toronto International Film Festival, Soulpepper Theatre Company, and Workman Arts. She currently sits on the Boards of the Toronto Arts Council, CONTACT Photography Festival, Wavelength Music, and on the Advisory of Reel Asian.

Scott Miller Berry (Interim Co-Executive Director) is a cultural catalyst and filmmaker. Currently Managing Director at WorkmanArts, an art + mental health organization in Toronto; previously Executive Director (2005-2015) at the Images Festival. Recipient of the Margo Bindhardt Rita Davies Award for Cultural Service from the Toronto Arts Foundation, his varied work and community resume includes being an Interim Executive Director, Film Instructor, Shop Steward and Cinema Projectionist. Currently Scott sits on the  Boards of Toronto Media Arts Centre [TMAC] and Long Winter Music & Arts Festival; on staff of annual Film Farm residency and programs films and events year-round via the re:assemblage collective.
