Shayan Khattak (Focus)

My name is [Your Name], and I am running for Faculty Director of Science because I am committed to improving the academic, professional, and community experience of science students at TMSU. Throughout my time in the faculty, I have seen the challenges students face, including demanding course loads, limited academic support, and inconsistent communication. I believe these concerns deserve clear and dedicated advocacy.

If elected, I will focus on three priorities. First, I will work to strengthen academic support by advocating for expanded tutoring services, clearer departmental communication, and more organized exam-preparation resources. Second, I will push for increased student opportunities by promoting access to research positions, mentorship programs, and professional development events. Third, I will prioritize student well-being and community by supporting healthier scheduling practices, improved mental-health resources, and initiatives that help students feel connected and supported.

I am committed to acting with professionalism, transparency, and consistency. My goal is to ensure that the needs of science students are represented effectively and that meaningful improvements are achieved. It would be an honour to serve our faculty and advocate on behalf of all science students.
