Hi everyone! My name is Sakina Haider and I’m running for a position on the TMSU Faculty of Science Board of Directors as part of Team Catalyst. I’m currently a second-year Biomedical Science student, and over the past few years I’ve grown to understand how much student advocacy, academic support, and a strong sense of community truly matter in shaping our university experience.
I’m running because I want to help create a Faculty of Science where students feel supported, heard, and empowered. My goal is to be a reliable voice for students—someone who listens, acts, and follows through. Whether it’s improving academic resources, increasing transparency between students and the union, or creating more opportunities for involvement and community building, I want to help drive meaningful change.
As part of Team Catalyst, I aim to spark positive improvements, advocate for your needs, and represent our faculty with honesty, consistency, and energy. I’m committed to being accessible and making sure your concerns turn into actions.
