Prabhkirat Kaur (Independent)

I am running for Faculty Director at TMSU because our student leadership should reflect the full breadth of who we are as a community. With the School of Medicine now part of TMSU, our campus includes learners with diverse academic pathways, unique schedules, and distinct professional training environments. Being new comes with its challenges as often we feel isolated from the rest of the TMSU body. The human body only thrives when all its parts are supported, connected, and working together. The TMU School of Medicine brings a new challenge to ensure that as a satellite campus we are able to support TMSU and TMSU is able to support us!

My goal is to make sure the experiences of medical students contribute constructively to the broader conversations shaping TMSU. This isn’t about prioritizing one program over another; it’s about widening the lens. When students from medicine collaborate with those from engineering, science, arts, business, law, and all other faculties, we strengthen the entire university ecosystem.

Different perspectives drive better decisions.

If elected, I will advocate for equitable access to services across faculties, stronger cross-faculty communication, and student-centred policies that acknowledge the realities of our varied programs. I want every student, regardless of faculty, to feel that their needs are understood and their voice matters.

We are at a moment of growth. By working together, we can ensure TMSU continues to evolve into a student community where every perspective helps shape our shared success.
