Naya Haj Mohamad (Students Leading Tomorrow)

My name is Naya Haj, and I am a Business Technology Management student in the Ted Rogers School of Management. I am running with Team Tomorrow because I believe every TMU student deserves stronger academic support, accessible resources, and a student union that actually shows up for them.

Through my experience leading MESA at TMU, I have worked closely with students from all faculties and seen the challenges we face whether it’s academic pressures, financial barriers, or limited study spaces on campus. These experiences have shaped my commitment to advocating for improvements that support student success across the entire university.

If elected, I will focus on:

Academic advocacy, including guidance for grade appeals, academic misconduct support, and helping students navigate complex academic processes that often feel overwhelming.

Pushing for extended library hours and more study spaces, ensuring students especially commuters and those with heavy course loads have reliable, accessible places to study.

Campaigning for open education resources to reduce textbook and course material costs, so students aren’t forced to choose between financial stability and academic success.

Hosting practical workshops on study strategies, navigating departments, time management, research opportunities, and graduate school preparation giving students the skills and information they need beyond the classroom.

TMU is full of diverse, hardworking, and passionate students who deserve a union that reflects their needs and invests in their success. I am committed to advocating for real improvements, listening to students, and making resources more accessible across all faculties not just my own.

Thank you for your support. Together, we can build a stronger, more supportive tomorrow for all TMU students.
