My name is Muhammad Hanan, and I am a third-year Computer Science student running to serve as your next TMSU President. I am running because I believe our students deserve leadership that listens, communicates clearly, and builds a stronger sense of community for everyone.
My campaign is centered on three main priorities.
Rebuild Community:
Students need a space where they feel connected, supported, and included. I want to help strengthen the sense of community by encouraging collaboration, increasing engagement opportunities, and creating an environment where every student feels they belong. My goal is to bring people together and rebuild the sense of connection that students are looking for.
Real Transparency and Student Voice:
Students deserve honesty, clarity, and the ability to influence the decisions that affect them. I want to promote open communication, provide clear updates, and ensure student opinions guide the direction of our union. I believe transparency is the foundation of trust, and trust is essential for effective leadership.
Support That Meets Student Needs:
Students face many pressures, and their needs must be understood and taken seriously. I want to focus on practical support that reflects the challenges students experience every day. Whether it involves accessibility, financial pressure, academic stress, or finding the right resources, my goal is to make sure student support is meaningful, responsive, and easy to access.
I am running because I want to help create a more supportive, inclusive, and transparent union. I believe in a student body that feels heard and connected, and I want to help build a future where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
