Mariami Aslanikashvili (Team Forward)

Hello, my name is Mariami Aslanikashvili, and I am running for a position at the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union (TMSU) because I am committed to strengthening the student experience, amplifying student voices, and creating a supportive, engaging campus community. As a Human Resources Management student, a 2024–2025 HRPA Student Ambassador, and someone who actively contributes to student life through events, volunteering, and leadership initiatives at HRSA as a Director of Learning and Development. I believe I can bring both professionalism and empathy to the role.

My journey as a student, immigrant, and community-oriented leader has shaped my belief that students succeed when they feel heard, supported, and connected. I have developed strong skills in organization, communication, student advocacy, and project coordination through roles such as HRSA Ambassador, Administrative Service Manager, Lead Marshal at TMU Convocation, and volunteer dance instructor. These experiences have taught me how to work collaboratively, manage complex responsibilities, and create environments where people feel valued.

If elected, I will focus on transparency, accessibility, and meaningful engagement, ensuring all students especially those balancing work, school, and personal challenges have the resources and representation they deserve. I aim to help create more inclusive programming, expand professional and community-building opportunities, and foster a campus culture where every student feels they belong.

Thank you for your consideration and feel free to reach out to me via the given links , I’ll be very happy to answer any of your questions. I would be honoured to represent you and contribute to shaping a stronger student community at TMU.
