Levi Li (Independent)

My name is Levi. I’m a computer engineering student. I believe that all students deserve real choice, affordability in their education, and transparency. Our student union should empower us, not restrict us. That’s why I’m running on three main commitments:

1. The Right to Opt-Out
Membership should never be forced. I will push to make union participation and/or the related student union fees ($130+ annually) optional. Students should be able to choose what they support, keep more of their own money, and only pay for services they actually value.

2. Advocate for Affordable Tuition
By reducing mandatory fees and demanding more efficient use of student union resources, we can ease the financial burden on students. Additionally, I believe TMSU should focus on advocating for the TMU administration to have less wasteful spending, lower tuition and more financial relief.

3. Transparency
I will push for clear reports from the student union on where funds are spent and aim to eliminate wasteful spending. Every expenditure should be public, beneficial, and accountable.
