Marlee Liss is award winning keynote speaker, author, and founder of Survivors For Justice Reform. Marlee Liss (she/her) is a somatic educator, author, and sparkle-loving lesbian Jewish feminist. She made history in the justice system when her sexual assault case became the 1st in North America to conclude with restorative justice through the courts. Since then, she has supported thousands in learning trauma-informed pleasure and inclusive consent education.
In this 2 part training workshop by Marlee Liss, part 1 will include first-hand accounts of Restorative Justice after sexual harm and it’s comparison to the criminal legal system, learning to distinguish between restorative and punitive processes, while engaging in group discussion around the most common misperceptions and biases against Restorative Justice. Part 2 will include examinations of trauma-informed practices to support survivors navigating diverse experiences of justice, learning somatic skills to support victim’s regulation and to safeguard triggers when responding to harm. Both parts are required for the certificate.
