Ali Paracha (Guardians)

My name is Ali Paracha, and I am running for a position in the TMSU because I believe our student community deserves leadership that is honest, transparent, and connected to real student needs. As a third-year Industrial Engineering student, I’ve learned how important it is to solve problems by listening, understanding different perspectives, and building systems that actually work for people. I want to bring that mindset into student leadership.

I’m running because I want students to feel heard, not just during elections but throughout the entire year. Many of us deal with challenges around academic pressure, financial stress, and balancing work with school. I want to help create an environment where students feel supported, respected, and included. Trust is something I value deeply. If elected, I will make sure decisions are communicated clearly and openly, and that the voices of everyday students guide the direction of the union, not just a small group.

I also want to help strengthen our campus community by making it easier for students to get involved, access resources, and participate in events that bring people together. I believe that a strong community starts with simple actions, such as being present, listening, and making sure people know their concerns matter.

I’m committed to serving with integrity, staying accountable, and keeping students at the centre of every decision. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to representing you.
