My name is Ahmmad Haidary, and I am running to be your next Vice-President of Operations. Students at TMU deserve a Students’ Union that is transparent, accountable, and that serves the entire student population. For too long, students have watched decisions being made behind closed doors, funds being mismanaged, and operational systems that leave us confused instead of empowered. That ends now.
We cannot continue to make the same mistakes. We need a union that communicates openly, listens actively, and reports honestly. I will introduce clear financial reporting, strengthen operational policies, and make sure students–not only insiders–have a say on how the union operates.
My commitments are simple but urgent:
– To make the TMSU financially transparent, responsible, and accountable.
– To modernize outdated operational systems and eliminate unnecessary barriers.
– To ensure student groups, course unions, and campus communities receive the resources and communication they deserve.
– To protect student money and reinvest it into services, events, and improvements that matter to you.
I know firsthand that student groups, course unions, and campus communities are the heartbeat of TMU. As an executive of the TMU’s Literary Salon and the TMU Basketball Society, I’ve seen how student-run initiatives create belonging, build confidence, and shape the university experience beyond the classroom. These communities deserve consistent support, proper funding, and operational systems that don’t hold them back. As Vice-President Operations, I will champion smoother, faster, and more transparent grant processes so student leaders can focus on creating meaningful experiences.
I am running because I believe the TMSU can be better–stronger, more honest, more efficient, and more connected to the people it represents. I’m ready to work for you, fight for you, and bring real operational change to the TMSU. Justice for the TMSU!
