Hello everyone,

My name is Prashant Mann, and I am running for the position of Engineering Director with the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union (TMSU). As an engineering student, I understand the unique challenges our community faces — from demanding coursework and long lab hours to finding the right opportunities for internships, research, and career development.

I’m running because I want to be a strong voice for engineering students. Our program is intense, and students deserve better support, stronger representation, and more opportunities to connect with industry and with each other. I want to work toward improving communication between students, faculty, and the student union so that engineering students feel heard and supported.

My goal is to advocate for practical improvements that make student life better — whether that means promoting more networking and career opportunities, supporting student clubs and projects, or ensuring that engineering students’ concerns are properly represented within TMSU.

Engineering is about solving problems and building better systems, and I believe the same mindset can be applied to student leadership. By listening to students and working collaboratively, I hope to help create a stronger and more supportive engineering community.
