Hi everyone! My name is Maria, and I’m a second-year student studying Psychology and Sociology. I’m running to be your next Director for the Faculty of Arts because I believe our student government should be as dedicated and driven as the students it represents.

Between balancing a heavy course load and navigating the daily “student grind,” I know exactly how overwhelming university life can feel. Whether it’s figuring out complex degree requirements or looking for better mental health support, I’ve been right there with you. My goal is to take the stress out of the student experience by bringing a clear, evidence-based approach to the TMSU. My studies in Psychology and Sociology have taught me how to truly listen to what people need and how to look at the “big picture” of our community. I don’t just want to talk about problems, I want to use my background to prove to the university exactly where we need more resources and support. I want to ensure that every decision made by the TMSU is backed by what Arts students actually want.
