My name is Karim Natafji, and I am running for Faculty of Engineering Director at TMSU because I believe engineering students deserve strong, transparent, and results-driven representation.

Engineering is demanding academically, professionally, and personally. Between rigorous coursework, co-op pressures, labs, design teams, and student life, our faculty faces unique challenges that require focused advocacy. I am running to ensure our voices are not only heard, but actively acted upon.

My priorities are clear:

  • Stronger academic advocacy and accountability
  • Better communication between students and faculty leadership
  • Increased support for co-op, internships, and career development
  • Transparent decision-making within TMSU
  • Creating more opportunities for engagement across all engineering disciplines

I believe leadership is about consistency, accessibility, and follow-through. I am committed to being present, responsive, and solution-oriented. I will push for practical improvements not empty promises — and work collaboratively with faculty councils, student groups, and administration to create measurable change.

Engineering students are builders. We solve problems. We improve systems. That same mindset should shape how we approach student representation.

If elected, I will work to ensure our faculty receives the advocacy, resources, and respect it deserves.

Let’s raise the standard of representation.
