Hi everyone! My name is Aadreeka Srivastava, and I’m running because I genuinely enjoy bringing people together.
One of the things I’ve learned during university is that the people you meet can completely shape your experience, your friendships, your opportunities, and even your career path. But on a large campus, it isn’t always easy to meet people outside of your classes. I want to help create more spaces where students can connect naturally, whether that’s through shared interests, creative events, or simply having opportunities to meet new people.
I currently serve as the Vice President of the Toronto Met Fashion and Film Club, where I help organize events designed to bring students together and create a sense of community. Through this experience, I’ve seen how the right environment can make it easy for people to talk, connect, and build friendships.
I’m also passionate about making networking feel more approachable. Many students know connections are important for their future, but traditional networking events can feel intimidating. I want to help create opportunities where students can meet mentors, alumni, and professionals in more relaxed and engaging settings.
At the end of the day, I want students to leave TMU not only with a degree, but also with the friendships, connections, and memories that make their university experience truly meaningful
